The Grant Room Formerly known as the Court Room when the building was in use by the University of Aberdeen the room is now to be known as The Grant Room in memory of Sheena Grant MBE 1941 - 2010 Mrs Grant who was made an MBE in 2006 for her services to education, was employed by the university from 1984 to 2010, latterly in the capacity of Custodian of Marischal College. She was a dedicated Branch Chair for Unison and was also a member of the University Court. Mrs Grant was passionate about Marischal College and Aberdeen City Council sees this as a fitting memorial.
