    In October 1945 he was arrested by the functionaries of the communist Security Office. During the trial in Mokotów Prison, he was sentenced to death. After the review, the sentence was changed into a sentence of life imprisonment and 15 years imprisonment.He died on June 1, 1948 in the prison in Wronki after being beaten by officers of the Security Service.
