Orlando Staton, the band’s drummer for 40 years, died March 20 from the coronavirus disease, band members tell NJ Advance Media.They say Staton, 61, who lived in Bloomfield, was in the hospital for about a week before he died.“He was one of the most innovative musicians I knew,” says bass player Tim Engle, 63, of Mine Hill. “He never saw an instrument that he didn’t want to pick up and try out.” ...
