The historical marker is located on the church facade, on the pillar immediately to the left of the main entrance. (English)

The Franciscans built the first Church in 1595. The town was transferred to Ibayo in 1636 but returned to the present site in 1682. The Jesuits administered this parish from 1616 to 1679. The present church was completed in 1686. (English)
