    The historical marker is located on the wall immediately to the left of the stairway leading to the top floor of the tower. (English)

    The only observation and defense tower existing of the seven built around 1752 in Atimonan, Quezon (Tayabas), to guard the sea coast against pirates. Repaired, 1948–1951 by the Municipality of Atimonan, naming it in memory of Francisco Tandas, popularly called Iskong Bantay, chief defender of the town in the raid of 1872. (English)
