contraction is represented as the difference between the total pressure drop
minus the theoretical pressure drop for fully developed flows in the large and
small section. Determine the K_{L} for slow flow and a 2:1; 3:1; and
4:1 contraction for both channel flow and pipe flow. For the 3:1 pipe flow case
(Figure 10.22), solve for Reynolds numbers from 0.01 to 100. Base the
definition of K_{L} on the velocity and diameter/thickness of the
smaller region, since the pressure drop there is the largest.
