Kai and Supee Larsen have done an immense amount of good work for Thai botanists, Thai botany and the Flora of Thailand. and they have always encouraged the work on Gesneriaceae. The account for the Flora has not progressed as quickly as I, or they, may have wished, but the recognition of a new genus, of which the two new species have resulted from their discoveries, provides a unique opportunity of saying 'thank you' with a generic name that links theirs. I have called this genus (with their permission) Kaisupeea. (English)
