ERIZA (τά Ἔρισα: Eth. Ἐρισηνός). [...]. Livy (38.14) does not say what was the time of the march from the Chaus to Eriza; but his narrative shows that Eriza was between the Chaus and the Indus. The Erizeli of Ptolemy (5.2), it is supposed by some critics, are the Erizeni, and that the name should be written so; but Ptolemy's Erizeli are in a different place. (English)
