The General Assembly was not happy that the civil magistrate was refusing to prosecute accused witches and setting some suspects free. They resolved that Presbyteries should' proceed in all severities with their censures againis all such Magistrats as sall sett at liberties any person convict of witchcraft heirafter.' (English)
