On 12/6/1650 the presbytery minutes recorded that 4 people in Castleton (in the presbytery of Langholm) were suspected of witchcraft and incantation. No names were recorded in the presbytery minutes. Then on 26/6/1650 ministers were supposed to assist in the execution of the suspects. (English)
