It has been an old ſaying, that there is no Opinion ſo abſurd but that it has been maintain’d by ſome Philoſopher, as that Snow is black, that Cabbages ſpeak in the Moon, and that the Magpy is the moſt conſiderable Lawyer in the Sun ; that the Birds call’d Ganzas will carry a Man up to thoſe Countries as Griffins will to the South Continent.
