Joseph de Cambis[edit]

I am not sure where I should put this, but Joseph de Cambis (Q3185827) needs to be split in two, one for Joseph de Cambis (1658-1736) (for the French article) and one for Joseph de Cambis (1748-1825) (for the English article),Huldra (talk) 22:46, 18 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Done (Joseph de Cambis (Q3185827) vs Joseph de Cambis (Q107316941)), now I'll check that the statements are on the right page. Arlo Barnes (talk) 20:42, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Hey @Arlo Barnes, I wasn't sure if you already checked the external IDs, so I re-marked the item as a conflation and created an additional item at Joseph de Cambis (Q107369207). Most of the external identifiers give birth-death dates of 1706-1772, but maybe that's a single bad value being propagated, or floruit dates (which can't be correct either)? There's no references for the "correct" 1658-1736 dates either. @Huldra, do you know more? --Azertus (talk) 09:35, 30 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

"the dates"[edit]

"An item conflates two people when it includes one or more elements that come from each, such as the dates of one and the achievements or function of another."

It is not clear to me what "the dates" is supposed to mean about a person - maybe the dates of birth and death of a person? If so, I would have that spelled out. whym (talk) 10:52, 17 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Also things like floruit, time of earliest record, and so on. I agree listing examples could help. Arlo Barnes (talk) 20:43, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
