Motivation[edit]
I want to create a database of German military units from the two world wars for a database project. To make all my data FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) and especially to make it publicly accessible, I need this new property "hasFeldpostNumber" to provide essential information on research about the units. This property will utilize the existing Feldpost number (Q467921) to mark these units. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sveburk (talk • contribs) at 11:36, 15 April 2024 (UTC).
Discussion[edit]
- @LimaMario:, could you please fulfil the minimum requirements, see
{{Property proposal}}
for more info. Regards, ZI Jony (Talk) 12:03, 20 April 2024 (UTC)- Dear ZI Jony, I tried my best to meet the requirements, could you tell me, what information is still needed? Sveburk (talk) 13:57, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- why have the 'has' at the start? Is there a general military unit number that could be used instead, rather than create new properties for each country? Vicarage (talk) 17:57, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- The has is to imply the difference between the resource „Feldpostnummer/Feldpostnumber“ and the new property. As the German Feldpostnumbers have their own resource it is clear to me, to link the units to the resource with the unique post-code numbers that were used within the units. The use of a general number therefore would not be suitable, especially not for my project as described in the proposal. Sveburk (talk) 18:09, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- I think you need to make this clear with concrete examples and get people who know about German military structures to comment, as I don't Vicarage (talk) 19:15, 29 April 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose as concerns not addressed. This sounds like a personal project that's going to be poorly integrated into WD. Vicarage (talk) 07:39, 3 May 2024 (UTC)

intervener[edit]
Motivation[edit]
Half of Supreme Court of Canada decisions are made with third-parties called interveners and it has even been said that you can tell how important a case by the number of interveners allowed to weigh in on a pending legal decision (https://digitalcommons.osgoode.yorku.ca/cgi/viewcontent.cgi?article=4029&context=scholarly works) The role of interveners are of great interest to legal scholars, political scientists, and activists. At present, legal cases allow for a plaintiff and a respondent to be properties of a legal case, but not third party intervenes who are also allowed to present documents to the court. Interveners should be considered an 'input' to a legal decision and not an 'outcome' and as such, they don't belong as 'part of' a decision of the judges. Happy to clarify any of the above. Note: I've asked WikiProject Canadian law for comment. Copystar (talk) 21 April 2024 (UTC)
