Summary

Description
English: St. Tighernach's Church, Clones The Church of Ireland parish church is situated on the highest point in the town, overlooking The Diamond. A map of 1591 shows an 'old chapel' possibly on this site. A large church with spire, on a town map of 1741, was taken down in 1822 and the present church was completed by 1825. The transepts were added in 1857.
