Descriptive caption on alternate item: "Mrs. Annie Porritt of Hartford, Conn., is one of the prominent members of the Advisory Council of the Congressional Union for Woman Suffrage. Mrs. Porritt is Press Chairman of the Conn. State Woman Suffrage Association and is editor for the Publishing Company of the National American Woman Suffrage Assn'n. She is also well known as a journalist.
