Die Flügel gehören zu einem Altar, den Lucas Cranach d. Ä. für die Stiftskirche St. Alexandri in Einbeck schuf. Die Mitteltafel mit der Kreuzigung und die beiden inneren Seitentafeln mit den hlg. Alexander und Felicitas befinden sich heute in der Kreuzkirche in Hannover.[1]
