Inscriptions

Caption verso:

Abrah. Van der Hulst / nat. Amstelli 1613 / Etat Suae 19 an(n)i / Barth.V.d.Helst / pinx.1638.
Notes Possibly a member of the van der Hulst family. The inscription, possiby added in the 18th century, is most probaly incorrect. From the 1640s, van der Helst, thanks to his stylish manner, was the leading portraitist in Amsterdam.
