Motivation[edit]

OBD "Memorial" is the largest database of those who died in the Great Patriotic War, having been opened in 2007. It contains over 37 million records from archival documents of those years that were declassified in the 2000-2010s. The Book of Memory contains information about more than 11 million dead.
