@Dhx1 @99of9 @Pru.mitchell I noticed today that this identifier may be phased out shortly. When you follow the example links we're taken to a "Paged Move" page, and the only link is to a new identifier. Should we migrate to the new identifiers? Georift (talk) 04:37, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Georift: good catch. Since we only have 22 uses so far, I support a migration. --99of9 (talk) 07:52, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Georift, 99of9: The identifiers do unfortunately appear to be technology/database specific and subject to change again in the future when the current database product is phased out. However I think both old and new identifiers may be beneficial to retain because of available archives using the old identifiers providing useful information not otherwise published in the new database. An example is the list of responsible persons at [1] (old database) from 2019 versus the list of responsible persons at [2] (new database) from 2022. I cannot find a way to find historical information on responsible persons of a charity in the new database using the new identifier scheme. -- Dhx1 (talk) 16:30, 4 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
