Welcome to Wikidata, Leonardo José Raimundo!

Wikidata is a free knowledge base that you can edit! It can be read and edited by humans and machines alike and you can go to any item page now and add to this ever-growing database!

Need some help getting started? Here are some pages you can familiarize yourself with:

  • Introduction – An introduction to the project.
  • Wikidata tours – Interactive tutorials to show you how Wikidata works.
  • Community portal – The portal for community members.
  • User options – including the 'Babel' extension, to set your language preferences.
  • Contents – The main help page for editing and using the site.
  • Project chat – Discussions about the project.
  • Tools – A collection of user-developed tools to allow for easier completion of some tasks.

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask on Project chat. If you want to try out editing, you can use the sandbox to try. Once again, welcome, and I hope you quickly feel comfortable here, and become an active editor for Wikidata.

Wiktionary items[edit]

Hi, and welcome! Sorry to welcome you with a message like this, but please don't create items for Wiktionary entries. Interwiki links on Wiktionary are handled by an extension called Cognate, which automatically link pages based on spelling, so there's no need to have interwiki links for ordinary items here in Wikidata. In other words, pages in the main namespace (i.e. ordinary Wiktionary entries) should not have any sitelinks in Wikidata. It is supposed to be disabled, but for technical reasons that hasn't been done yet.

Anyways, have a nice day! Jon Harald Søby (talk) 09:10, 21 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Eihel. I have reverted one of your recent contributions to the page Q98056596, as it changed the description of an item to the name of a language. The policy regarding descriptions can be found here. If you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Hello Leonardo José Raimundo, You can contribute in the languages you know. Cordially. —Eihel (talk) 23:45, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Italian description[edit]

Hi, the Italian description you added here is totally ungrammatical. If you are not sure about correct translation don't add it. Thank you ★ → Airon 90 22:31, 1 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please do NOT add further Italian descriptions. You clearly don't know how Italian language works. --Horcrux (talk) 08:16, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The same holds for Italian labels. --Horcrux (talk) 08:34, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment[edit]

Dear Leonardo José Raimundo,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits.

Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link

I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa

In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards

Kholoudsaa (talk) 23:26, 16 February 2022 (UTC)[reply]

German edits[edit]

Similar to the discussion about § Italian descriptions above, I unfortunately have to say that your German edits aren’t correct either. (Some examples: Verbindung is not the same thing as constraint, and Elemente should be in the dative case there; Eigentum and Unterkunft are very different kinds of property; and Daten öffnen is a frankly absurd way to translate open data.) Please stop adding these incorrect translations. Galaktos (talk) 15:06, 2 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Last warning[edit]

If you don't stop adding wrong labels and descriptions, I will request a block for your account. Horcrux (talk) 14:07, 9 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

@Horcrux: May you please remove the wrong descriptions from George Higginson (Q91998664)?--Pädo-Power (talk) 09:32, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Horcrux: Sorry for being unclear: He was an American businessman and not a British army officer.--Pädo-Power (talk) 09:57, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pädo-Power: May you indicate a source for this? --Horcrux (talk) 10:02, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Horcrux: His father.--Pädo-Power (talk) 10:08, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pädo-Power: May you be clearer? I don't see the word "businessman" anywhere. --Horcrux (talk) 10:10, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Horcrux: It was called trader/tradesman in those days.--Pädo-Power (talk) 10:16, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Pädo-Power: I don't see those words either. --Horcrux (talk) 10:19, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Is he really a British officer or just a businessman from Boston?-- Pädo-Power (talk) 09:31, 11 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
