Property:P429 (dantai code)[edit]

Hi,

The above property is now available and can be used on items. I noticed you first proposed its creation. Please excuse the delay until it was created. --  Docu  at 17:34, 16 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Many thanks! --F705i (talk) 11:45, 17 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please use that page for requesting deletion of blanked items, instead of simply adding a description. --Ricordisamoa 21:16, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I know that page. I think deletion of empty items is not an urgent task, so I prefer to add empty items to my watchlist and to make a bulk deletion request later rather than to make a separate request for deletion of every single item. I appreciate your understanding. --F705i (talk) 23:38, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Edit rate[edit]

Hello F705i, I saw your appear your name on the recent changes page many times. Guessing that you use botframework to do these repetitive edits, could you stop editing and create a botaccount and request the botflag for that account? The reason why I ask is because you seem the spam the recent changes and make it unusable for people who want to patrol edits. --Wiki13 talk 12:13, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As you continue on the same edit rate I advise to stop or otherwise I'll block the account. --Wiki13 talk 12:33, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I have blocked this account for 1 day after you've continued editing at the same speed. You can reply on this block below. --Wiki13 talk 12:33, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I now have unblocked you, as I think 1 days is too long and the script / frame should've stopped by now. I also see by now it that it could've been a script you was running. If that was the case then I want to apologize for the block. Regards, Wiki13 talk 14:37, 20 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I believe that my recent activity in Wikidata was far from vandalism, and that my edit frequency was just a product of my dedication to this project. In addition, I stopped editing at 12:28 UTC, 5 minutes before you blocked my account. I'm sorry for my repetitive edits if they caused any misunderstanding. Thank you for unblocking! --F705i (talk) 01:58, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I second this request. The recent changes page is full of your edits. It's great you're making a lot of edits but with a bot account doing so wouldn't disrupt the normal functioning of this site. Palosirkka (talk) 10:49, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sorry for the inconvenience I've caused you. --F705i (talk) 12:26, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Question on Japan places[edit]

Hello, I think you are also editing Japanese articles. Can I ask you on geographical topic? --Napoleon.tan (talk) 14:24, 7 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I know you posted a question about places in Japan at Project chat in June (Wikidata:Project chat/Archive/2013/06#Question on how to use the P131 and P150).
Japan subdivides into 47 prefectures. Kanagawa Prefecture is a prefecture. Both Tokyo Metropolis and Hokkaido are prefectures. No problem here.
However, "What does a prefecture (directly) subdivide into?" is a problematic question.
Historically, a prefecture subdivides into cities (shi) and districts (gun). And only districts (not cities) further subdivide into towns (chō or machi) and villages (son or mura). Yokohama-shi (City of Yokohama) is an example of cities in Kanagawa Prefecture, and Kōza-gun (Kōza District, Q1202776) is an example of districts in Kanagawa Prefecture. Samukawa-machi (Samukawa Town, Q1342787) is an example of towns in Kōza District. Each district had its own government, just like each city has its own government now.
All district governments dissolved in 1920s. Since then on, it can be said that a prefecture subdivides into cities, towns, and villages (collectively referred to as shi-chō-son), whereas districts themselves still exist (They appear in addresses.).
And there are also subprefectures (Q850450), which further complicates this problem. Some prefectures, e.g. Hokkaido, subdivide into subprefectures. Subprefectures then subdivide into cities and districts, or cities, towns, and villages. However, subprefectures do not appear in addresses.
Oops! I wrote a prefecture subdivides into cities and districts, but this is not very correct for Tokyo Metropolis. Island municipalities in Tokyo, such as Ogasawara-mura (Q1022925), do not belong to districts but directly belong to a subprefecture. In addition, there are 23 special wards in Tokyo, the wards directly belong to Tokyo Metropolis.
Quite complicated, isn't it? --F705i (talk) 14:02, 8 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

NDL identifier at Sacco and Vanzetti[edit]

Hi! I could see that you add a NDL Authority ID (P349) with value 00956505 at Sacco and Vanzetti (Q833926) .
Please note that instance of (P31) is duo.
Please note the two has part(s) (P527) properties linking to Nicola Sacco (Q2672924) and Bartolomeo Vanzetti (Q2886112) .
regards לערי ריינהארט (talk) 23:42, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The NDL identifier 00956505 refers to the Sacco-Vanzetti Trial (an event). It does not refer to Nicola Sacco (a person) or Bartolomeo Vanzetti or both (a group of persons). Thank you for your understanding. --F705i (talk) 12:12, 23 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the answer! I copied it to Talk:Q833926#NDL:00956505. לערי ריינהארט (talk)
