Jasmin Joseph

Hi,

I noticed you reverted my edit to Jasmin Joseph's WikiData entry. Unfortunately the information that Joseph was female is mistaken, every biographical source available refers to him consistently as male throughout his life. I would imagine that his name "Jasmin" originally confused whoever created his WikiData entry, which is understandable because it is usually a female given name. His Wikipedia page (which I created) reflects that he was a man. recent reverts w.r.t. cisgender

Hello, recently you have reverted some of the improvements I made to (e.g https://www.wikidata.org/w/index.php?title=Q12971&oldid=prev&diff=1131426078 ), with the comment of Per WD:GENDER; it is not a notable aspect of the person. Ebelular, thanks for leaving me message on my talk page. I know you mean well but we usually don't make that kind of clarification unless it is explicitly a notable characteristic of the subject. Since the subjects that you made the improvements to aren't specifically known for that aspect of their life, then the clarification is not needed and doesn't need to be in their the entries on Wikidata. If you believe otherwise and you would like to change them, then you should, and you should also attach references supporting their inclusion. – Aranya (talk) 22:43, 8 March 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply. I am new to Wikidata (but not Wikipedia), thanks for helping me understand the norms. My edit was inspired by the EqualStreetNames.Brussels project, which uses Wikidata & OpenStreetMap (which I am heavily involved in) to show the gender of streetnames. It includes a category for Transgender people, so I wanted to improve the source data in this regard. Male includes cisgender male and transgender male, so I am only making it more specific. Since I am not too accustomed with working with this subject area, I think you would get a better answer if you asked at the Wikidata project chat page. The various experienced and active editors there can provide better assistance for the improvements you would like to make on the project. Additionally, you can contact some of the administrators here on Wikidata. You can find a list of administrators (and the language they speak) on the Administrators page. They are usually available to correspond here on this website or through email, so that you can work out how to best improve source data. Hi. Why did you revert (Special:Diff/1139325995)? It think my changes were rather straightforward error corrections. As previously explained, also on talk page of this item, country data was inaccurate, some data was instead about municipality which is a different item (Q42307965, already has this data). Please do not return the version in the schizophrenia value table that includes a multitude of non-schizophrenic medication! You can check it yourself. I forgot to write an editorial, but the reason is: corrupt, deliberate! If you return, I will have to ask to block you. To report stalking and explain my grievance

Hi Aranya, hope you are doing well and I am new to wikidata and I would be glad to ask for suggestions from you.

I have noticed that you have been purposely targeting the articles with content OF "Pratham Sudhir Hegde" on wikidata and wikiquote. It has resulted to the deletion in wikiquote and wikidata. This is the second time the "Pratham Sudhir Hegde" article has been created here. Your notability claims that the topic is not notable enough is absurd as I have a large number of independent sites which feature him which I can reveal as per your request. If you cannot find the articles online, you may request me because those articles come only after two or three pages.

Your actions are becoming suspicious because you have been stalking and voting Pratham Sudhir Hegde's articles for deletion. If there is any personal offense with that topic with you or if the topic is inappropriate for a certain community, you can tell me directly. -Asomeo 11:29, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

My suggestion is to find something to add to Q98068484 to actually make it meet notability guidelines, instead of only revealing these independent sites to me. This can include identifiers that connect the item to other databases outside of Wikimedia, as well as adding publicly available references to support each statement in the item, so that anyone can see what Pratham Sudhir Hegde is notable for. There's a lot of information on how to do these kinds of things in Help:Contents.

If an admin sees that it doesn't meet the criteria for notability, then they can choose to delete it. Keep in mind that even if it is deleted now, it can almost always be recreated in the future - given that sources and other supporting information can be provided to show why they should be recorded in this project. – Aranya (talk) 12:51, 5 August 2020 (UTC)
