Delap-Uliga-Darrit[edit]

Why should Q648507 with de:Delap-Uliga-Darrit not be merged with Q14207704 with voy:de:Delap-Uliga-Darrit? As far I can see it is about the same three islands. Byrial (talk) 10:44, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Not exactly. I checked it again and again and I came to the conclusion that the first is a region (for statistical purpose) and the second is about the town itself - in the region. But it may change and I'm really not sure, the wikivoyage article is too short to assess it clearly. --A.Bernhard (talk) 10:54, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
OK, you may be right. I am not sure either. Byrial (talk) 12:28, 22 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! This property which you proposed has been created. You proposed it as type = item, I have assumed this was an error and created it as a string. --Danrok (talk) 12:53, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That's correct, thank you very much! --A.Bernhard (talk) 12:54, 15 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please get a bot flag[edit]

Hi there! I notice you're making edits very rapidly. This is great but it's clogging the recent edits page and makes patrolling harder. This could be avoided if you got yourself a bot or flooder flag. Please refer to Wikidata:Bots and Wikidata:Flooders. Thank you. Palosirkka (talk) 10:53, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the hint, I requested the flag. --A.Bernhard (talk) 11:03, 16 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Country Subdivision Task Force: Deutschland[edit]

Hallo A.Bernhard, um das Vorgehen bei Deutschland noch besser abzustimmen, diskutieren wir momentan die Erfassungsmethodik Wikidata:Country_subdivision_task_force/Germany/Gliederung und Wikidata_talk:Country_subdivision_task_force/Germany#Gliederung_der_einzelnen_Verwaltungseinheiten_mit_Verwendungshinweisen . Vielleicht magst Du Dich dort einbringen.--Zuphilip (talk) 11:40, 22 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Herta Müller Q38049[edit]

Hallo! Ich habe bei Herta Müller (Q38049) die de:Auszeichnungen hinzugefügt, Nicht jedoch die Stipendien, Ehrentitel und Medaillen (vom typ instance of == order bzw. subclass of degree).
point in time (P585) habe ich bei Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (Q842490) gefunden.
לערי ריינהארט (talk) 08:32, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

SWNL:{key:'SWNL',p:0} , /* "SWNL", "Swiss National Library" ; [[viaf:46897170]] */
RERO:{key:'RERO',p:0} , /* "RERO (Switzerland)" ; [[viaf:106122570]] */
Gruß לערי ריינהארט (talk) 09:01, 24 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm.. I think you can search RERO here --A.Bernhard (talk) 14:00, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

--A.Bernhard (talk) 13:59, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, danke für die Info. Ich bin gerade am überlegen, was ich selbst machen kann bzw. ob ich einen Request for Bot schreiben will. --Zuphilip (talk) 14:54, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi A.Bernhard, I see you're adding adjacent station (P197) to some bigger stations in Germany. Thanks for the help! I'm not sure if all is correct, consensus seems to go that adjacent station (P197) should be used for the next station on the physical track, not the next station in the service. See Wikidata talk:Railways task force. Multichill (talk) 13:45, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the hint! That would make the work much easier if I only had to enter the next physical station. What about if the train goes via another route? --A.Bernhard (talk) 13:48, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Than it would pass another station I guess.
See this map for the results. http://www.openstreetmap.org/ is really useful in this because it seems to contain most railway stations. Multichill (talk) 13:53, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
User:GerardM told me about that at the Diversity Conference in Berlin yesterday, he blogged about that here. Great idea and my entered data from the Swiss canton of Zurich is displayed correctly! :-) --A.Bernhard (talk) 13:58, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like you made the same mistake there too.
Amsterdam has a direct (night) train to Berlin. It only calls at Hannover. adjacent station (P197) shouldn't be used to connect Amsterdam and Hannover. At Zürich Hauptbahnhof (Q224494) Basel SBB railway station (Q667201) is added as a neighbour, I'm pretty sure it will go through another station (probably without stopping). Multichill (talk) 14:19, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
There are a lot of such cases which I have obviously entered wrong before. Another example is Uster railway station (Q555254) with connecting line (P81) S15 to Zürich Stadelhofen railway station (Q673228). Next physical station is Nänikon-Greifensee railway station (Q2033229), but if I remove Zürich Stadelhofen railway station (Q673228), nobody knows where the next station is of the S15? You can watch it on your own map here --A.Bernhard (talk) 14:30, 9 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Was meinst Du? --Zuphilip (talk) 23:08, 7 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

--A.Bernhard (talk) 08:55, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
✓ Done --Zuphilip (talk) 18:40, 9 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Call for participation in a task-based online experiment[edit]

Dear A.Bernhard,

I hope you are doing good,

I am Kholoud, a researcher at King's College London, and I work on a project as part of my PhD research, in which I have developed a personalised recommender system that suggests Wikidata items for the editors based on their past edits. I am collaborating on this project with Elena Simperl and Miaojing Shi.

I am inviting you to a task-based study that will ask you to provide your judgments about the relevance of the items suggested by our system based on your previous edits. Participation is completely voluntary, and your cooperation will enable us to evaluate the accuracy of the recommender system in suggesting relevant items to you. We will analyse the results anonymised, and they will be published to a research venue.

The study will start in late January 2022 or early February 2022, and it should take no more than 30 minutes.

If you agree to participate in this study, please either contact me at kholoud.alghamdi@kcl.ac.uk or use this form https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSees9WzFXR0Vl3mHLkZCaByeFHRrBy51kBca53euq9nt3XWog/viewform?usp=sf_link I will contact you with the link to start the study.

For more information about the study, please read this post: https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/User:Kholoudsaa In case you have further questions or require more information, don't hesitate to contact me through my mentioned email.

Thank you for considering taking part in this research.

Regards
