I notice that you are merging two items, the item/entity that has no more wikilinks remaining becomes an orphaned items. I think you should place orphaned items to the request for deletion page. better yet, use the merge.js in combining two items. just turn on the merge.js gadget in your wikidata preferernce page. then use the gadget, it is just on top of the wikidata page.
