Hi! Is Daty still under development?

Not very active but the project has not been abandoned. I pushed a dev branch just yesterday and today I tested it on a real GNOME Mobile device (search for "Stear Prime").

Development partially stalled because I never received any kind of feedback or even requests or complainings, so I convinced myself I was the only one using it (basic editing works after all).

Because it got no attention from the Wiki community I was thinking of renaming it in GNOME Data, expanding system integration and adding more backends sooner or later.

Also at some point I started seeing all the obvious design bugs (like the compulsory initial user setup which is only needed when editing, or the entity-only apparently free text search bar).

Let's say code needs some refactoring.

That's kind of a shame, I was rooting for it to mature!

I'd love for it to become a Wikidata editor that is more convenient than this web interface.

If you got no complaints before, here's one: I can't really open quite a few items, such as Q28804296 with Daty. Maybe there are too many statements?

Also I think renaming it to GNOME Data is a good idea. And possibly exploring integration with other GNOME apps, like opening map links with GNOME Maps, for instance. OSM+Wikidata is an exciting perspective and I wonder how Daty could work with GNOME Maps

Mmm, that particular item correctly renders here. On what platform are you using it? You could try deleting daty cache directory if you don't want to get logs.

OSM+Wikidata is an exciting perspective and I wonder how Daty could work with GNOME Maps There should be a map widget that could be embedded in the editor, so you will basically use GNOME Maps inside daty if everything goes well.

Deleting the cache directory helped, as now at least it tells me it's tring to show that item. But the actual item page is blank. Using the flatpak app from Zorin OS.

Just wanted to mention that I use Daty, or I'd like to. Like you say a refactoring of the UI could help, I've locked myself into an unnavigable state a time or two.
