Identifier layout

The identifier is composed of the persons name plus, optionally, birth and/or death years in 2 or 4 digit format. The volume number of the dictionary that the biography is located in is located at the end of the identifier. Underscores (_) are used to separate the pieces of the identifier.

An E or F may appear after the identifier in the website URL. This a language code, E = English, F = French. This is not a part of the identifier. All biographies are available in both English and French.
