Leading zeros[edit]

The format here was allowing leading zeros, which make for the possibility of duplicates (e.g. 09083 isn't the same as 9083). This is not correct as far as the inHerit database is concerned, and the form without the leading zeros is used in their public data dumps on data.wa.gov.au for example. The zero padding only seems to be added for the display on the inherit website. I've been bold and updated the format regex here, and will remove the few instances of leading zeros on items. Items very close to one another[edit]

Here's a query to find items very near the inHerit places. These could use some manual review to see if merges are required, or whether to add properties like has part(s) (P527) and part of (P361). --99of9 (talk) 00:32, 6 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Problem[edit]

This might be a problem for a small number of Wikidata items. When adding this property to items, it says "item-requires-statement constraint. An entity with inHerit Place Number should also have a statement instance of heritage site." This is not necessarily true though, as some places have inHerit listings but are not heritage places for various reasons. Victoria Park railway station has a page on inHerit here, but it is not a heritage place as it "Does not warrant assessment". Same applies to Carlisle station.
