Stability?[edit]

@Vincent cloutier: I wonder how stable these ids are? I have imported a bunch of them via Charity Navigator ID (P4861) a while ago and some seem to have changed in the mean time (for instance on The Food Group (Q41568450): Charity Navigator now says "41-1246504" whereas in March 2018 it said "94-3131776"). Similarly some of the values I added conflicted with yours (on Erie Community Foundation (Q5388286) for instance). − Pintoch (talk) 11:39, 10 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no primary "Formatter URL" but there are 3 "third-party formatter URLs". However, none of them works:

From the name of these sites, it seems they are restricted to NGOs? So I take it there is no usable site for this IRS EIN? --Vladimir Alexiev (talk) 08:47, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, they work for non-profits only. But second one does not show the results to unregistered. Tried to found universal site for IRS EIN search a few months ago, but have not found any.--Jklamo (talk) 11:54, 15 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Format[edit]

The proposal gives the allowed values as "written in a nine digit series, for example XX-XXXXXXX." However, the use of {{digits}} in Template:EIN hints that IRS may only use this hyphen as a display artifact (i.e. that the ID is just digits). Do we have documentation of the format?
