Goals[edit]
- Establish and implement a data model for personal pronoun sets in Wikidata. This model will be capable of reflecting how humans use pronoun sets in reality
- Establish and implement ethical and logical best practices for assigning personal pronoun sets to items representing human beings and fictional characters

Data Model Adjustments[edit]
- Propose changes to personal pronoun (P6553)
- Remove "gender" from labels/aliases/descriptions of property and related items
- Specify that property is to be used with personal pronoun sets in label and description
- Allow value data type of Wikidata item for personal pronoun set rather than lexeme which can't be consistently implemented with accuracy
- Remove relationship with P21
- Item personal pronouns (Q65067284) should be "personal pronoun set", gender should be removed from aliases (See property talk page conversation begun on April 17, 2024)
- As questions arise and data model needs refinement, refer to LGBTDB
Data Model Implementation[edit]
- Set up pronoun set items as Wikidata items that are instances of "personal pronoun set"
Data Cleanup[edit]
- Query all statements using personal pronoun (P6553), and perform cleanup:
- Remove statements without references
- Remove invalid statements, replacing with other properties as feasible (for example, when a value is an honorific, replace with honorific prefix (P511))
- For referenced statements:
- Change value from lexeme or item for a single pronoun to a personal pronoun set based on references given
- Host edit-a-thon or cooperative effort to make accurate adjustments
- Add on focus list of Wikimedia project (P5008) property to track activity
