Motivation[edit]

The little white mile marker below the welcome sign includes the county code for Ashtabula County (Q336322), "ATB".

The Ohio Department of Transportation uses these three-letter county codes extensively, including on mile markers. Within Ohio, they are analogous to FIPS 6-4 county codes. They also maintain ODOT township number (Q108569676) and ODOT municipal number (Q108569694), but those numbers are more obscure. – Minh Nguyễn 💬 06:05, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
