Motivation[edit]
Similarly to Twitch numeric channel ID (P12229) this value can be used to identify unique instagram accounts even after renames etc. Similarly to Twitch numeric channel ID (P12229) there does not seem to be a way to use it to get a link to the channel but it can be used for some APIs. It can also be used to update the usernames. There are some instructions on how to get a username from a user ID in stackoverflow. To fetch the user ID it is possible to user an external service like this one and the reverse can also be done by this one.
