Chinese and Japanese words contain Han characters. A property linking from lexemes to Han characters is needed to describe how the Chinese and Japanese words consist of. Okkn (talk) 15:34, 7 June 2018 (UTC)
Discussion
- Support and this is a property on the lexeme we could use right away, good idea! ArthurPSmith (talk) 18:14, 7 June 2018 (UTC)

- Support. Okkn has demonstrated clearly how this is meant to be used. Deryck Chan (talk) 16:23, 18 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Okkn: Do you intend to specify order using series ordinal (P1545)? Deryck Chan (talk) 12:46, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Deryck Chan: I didn't take that into consideration, but I think we should adopt the method you proposed! --Okkn (talk) 16:17, 20 June 2018 (UTC)
- @Okkn: Although I can see how this can be a problem for Japanese compound words with 送り仮名 in the middle like "送り仮名" - is 仮 ordinal 3 or ordinal 2...? Maybe we should only use series ordinal for words that are composed entirely of Chinese characters (similar problems exist in Cantonese too, where it is common to have Latin characters in the middle of a modern word)... - @Deryck Chan: I think non-Han characters can be ignored, and the series ordinal (P1545) of “仮” in “送り仮名” should be 2, because “仮” is the second Han character in “送り仮名”. --Okkn (talk) 11:48, 25 June 2018 (UTC)
