Motivation

This database of over 110,000 cultural heritage sites in Wales has been collated by the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales (RCAHMW) from information in their archive collections. The site records are supplemented by an index of associated archive records and images. Creating this property will provide an identifier for many important sites that are not designated as a listed building or scheduled monument and those that no longer exist.
