The Wikidata development team organized a series of events in 2021 and 2022 focusing on data quality on Wikidata. The events generated a lot of very useful discussions on the processes around increasing/maintaining data quality and utility on Wikidata. We identified various types of ontology issues, and based off of that:
- we would like to better understand the worst ontology issues reusers are facing
- and then bring it back for discussion with editors for the next steps
Timeline and updates[edit]
- November 2023 - Run Data Modelling Days
- October 2023 - Presentation about ontology issues during the WikidataCon (session link, video and slides TBA)
- July 2023 - Published overview of potential solutions to problems identified in the survey
- June 2023 - Published survey results
- January 2023 - Launch of survey for Wikidata data Reusers
- July 2022 - Run Data Quality Days 2022
- September 2021 - Run Data Quality Days 2021
