Deletion requests and merging

Hi VladXe, thanks for your great work detecting duplicate items and moving sitelinks to the correct item. :-) However, all items you tagged for deletion on WD:RFD were actually be turned into redirects instead because they were merged into another item. To simplify your work and avoid such huge requests on the deletion page I suggest you to read Help:Merge and use the merge gadget which allows you to merge items more easily and furthermore turn the empty item directly into a redirect so that it doesn't have to be listed on WD:RFD anymore. Cyanobacteria

Hello,

I saw you reverted some changes one week ago. This was not an error. This is caused by a technical problem on French Wikipedia: since the French wikilink is the redirect "Cyanobacteria" and not the main page "Cyanobacteriota", the 80 crosswiki links are on the redirect page and not on the main page, which is quite impractical. Could you please fix this?

Исправить нельзя: Cyanobacteria и Cyanobacteriota — разные таксоны, с разным номенклатурным статусом и годом описания. Cyanobacteriota — "правильный" таксон, все остальные языки рано или поздно переименуют/переделают свои статьи под него. Online translation: Cyanobacteriota is the "correct" taxon, all other languages will sooner or later rename/redo their articles for it. VladXe (talk) 18:16, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
