Hello @Archaeodontosaurus: no problem! Well, I suppose that you wanted to change the value of the property "media legend" in the item Muséum de Toulouse (Q422). You managed to do it in this edit of the item, but there have been 2 problems:

1. before your edit of the item, you made this error, where you changed directly the property media legend (P2096) (instead of changing the French value of this property in the item Muséum de Toulouse (Q422))
2. during your edit of the item, you replaced the Spanish value of the property "media legend" in the item (instead of adding the French value of this property in the item), so I have made this new edit.

CiNii ID is indispensable; Yukiko vs Sachiko

I don’t understand your intention reverting CiNii author ID. If it is not popular in your language, it is the search key for ja readers. Esp when there is a reason like I put below.

Point two. Which property do you advise me to use? How do you identify a person Yukiko Isobe and Sachiko Isobe, when Japanese writing system apply the same combination of characters _磯部幸子?/addendum_ No, there is no way from reading the letters, but wikidata can give property to identify two names like in this case. Actually, it is one big headache ja editors share.

That is my intention to add that property you claim to belong to non-human names. Then, could you please edit with correct property as to solve the issue, but not plainly revert?

When I undid your revisions, I wanted to respect the definition of the property "different from (P1889)". If you look at this property, you can see that:

• this property is used for an "item that is different from another item, with which it is often confused"
• this property is a "symmetric property"
• the example of the usage of this property is between the item Kowalski (Q3199417) (= the family name) and the item Kowalski (Q17128875) (= the disambiguation page): Q3199417 uses this property to indicate that it differs from Q17128875 and, by symmetry, Q17128875 uses this property to indicate that it differs from Q3199417.

So I undid your revisions, because there is no confusion between the item Yukiko Isobe (Q15816772) (= one person) and the item name (Q82799) (= one generic term). And I also undid the consequences of your revisions in Q82799 because, by symmetry with your revisions, "different from Q15816772" had been added to Q82799.

I agree that a confusion is possible between Yukiko Isobe and Sachiko Isobe if their names are written with the same combination of Japanese characters. I suppose that Sachiko Isobe is "notable enough for Wikidata" (as defined in Wikidata:Notability). Then I suggest that you create one item for Sachiko Isobe. And then you will be able to use the property "different from (P1889)" in Yukiko Isobe (Q15816772) and in the item for Sachiko Isobe.

Thank you for your patience and guidance. Now I see the confusion I mismatched properties. Indeed, there needs to be two person Yukiko and Sachiko if I am trying to avoid mix-up. I will research how the second person be presented on wikidata. Thanks to your note I have found citations where Lovecraft discussed his childhood pet. I am loathe to give it an item to itself due to the necessity involved therein of stating the cat's name, but if another editor has more stomach for that work they are welcome to do it. During my edit, I was bothered by two things: the lack of source and the oddness of "nature of statement (P5102) = ethnic slur (Q1371427)" (oddness according to the definition of P5102). In your new edits these things are corrected: thank you!

Well, I have another remark now, but I am not sure about it. At first, you used the solution "has pet (P1429) = unknown value" and "qualifier = found in taxon (P703) = house cat (Q146)". Now, you use the solution "has pet (P1429) = house cat (Q146)". I think that the first solution was better than the second solution, according to the definition of P1429.

field for transliterated data

The removal of transliteration for "forced suicide" Q2746270 in Chinese script perhaps a disservice to users. When a user looks for "ci si" or cisi", (s)he won't be led to the item that explains cisi=forced suicide. There are just so many items that may have this issues. For instance, [Q|19133]. Were the aliases for the [Q|19133] entity wrongly entered, needing removal? Transliteration is in Latin form. But WD currently does not have a home for Latin scripts corresponding its non-Latin scripts? Wondering if you could direct where the best practices reside for adding transliterated terms for items? I have removed "Cisi" and "Cì zìjìn" from Q2746270 for a single reason: "Cisi" and "Cì zìjìn" are not English words.

After reading your message, I am less sure about my edits.

• You said "When a user looks for "ci si" or cisi", (s)he won't be led to the item that explains cisi=forced suicide.", but you put it only in the English alias. With your reasoning, all aliases in languages using latin script (English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German...) should contain transliterations from languages using non latin script (Chinese, Korean, Georgian, Khmer, Hebrew...).
• "forced suicide" is not specific to China. For Qianlong Emperor (Q19133), Chinese transliterations in aliases do not bother me, because it is a Chinese proper name. But I don't know which alias is the Chinese transliteration in this case, and I am surprised by values such as "Fatianlongyunzhichengxianjiaotiyuanlijifuwenfenwuqinmingxiaocishenshengchunhuangdi".
• Please look at Qianlong Emperor (Q19133) again: birth name (P1477) is used and then one qualifier contains one transliteration. Now look at Dorje Shugden (Q932093) for instance: native label (P1705) is used and then qualifiers contain, in this case, one transliteration and one transcription. Perhaps Q932093 is a good example to follow, but I am surprised because a search for the transliteration value "rdo rje shugs ldan" do not lead to Q932093...
• Help:Aliases talks a little about transliterations.
