Not sure if you found Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Collection/Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec already. https://tools.wmflabs.org/multichill/painters/index.php?collection=Q2338135 is a bit of a clunky, but fast tool to create the missing painters. Here is the manual. Multichill (talk) 20:48, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you Multichill,I will check the manual. I generate "manual" wikidata from this list and other with mixmatch but i'm beginner now on Wikidata. --Natharchives (talk) 20:51, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
We all started as beginners. Don't be afraid about making mistakes and feel free to ask questions if something is unclear. The suggestions I linked above are all based on the Mix'n'match database.
I see on your userpage that you work for the mnbaq. Can you ask around why links like https://collections.mnbaq.org/en/artwork/600008005 are broken? These used to work, but stopped working some time ago. Multichill (talk) 20:58, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you ! I learn all day with wikidata ! These links with en come from the english version of the website (old version). Since novembre 2018, I think the english version of our collection on line is not available. I will check for more informations next week and will come back to you. Do you see this link with the image of the artist from wikidata :)
https://collections.mnbaq.org/fr/oeuvre/600026980 --Natharchives (talk) 21:06, 23 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, that's the French version, would love to see the English version working again. Multichill (talk) 21:29, 28 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes the english version will be develop in few months again. Thank you for your tools ! I use it for create some new Wikidata painters.--Natharchives (talk) 21:24, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Multichill, I do a lot of progress for the paintings collection of MNBAQ (Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec). Could you explain to me the difference between Inventory Number (P217) and Catalog Number (P528) for paintings ? Which one is better to use in this project ? I saw both on use and I dont know the difference ? Thanks again for your assistance.--Natharchives (talk) 22:59, 9 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Natharchives, good news! If you use {{Ping|Multichill}} I'll probably get a notification otherwise I might miss your messages.
inventory number (P217) (US English: accession number) is the identifier assigned by the collection holder. For example The Night Watch (Q219831) is part of two collections (owner and loan) and has inventory number SK-C-5 (Rijksmuseum) & SA 7392 (Amsterdam Museum). Anyone can start a catalog. For The Night Watch (Q219831) you can see part of numerous catalogs. When I import a museum collection I always add the inventory numbers. The combination of inventory number (P217) and collection (P195) should be unique and prevents me from creating duplicate items. Looking at Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Collection/Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, all the paintings have an inventory number already. Hope that explains it. Multichill (talk) 17:57, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Multichill, I understand very well your explanations. That's why the collection of the MNBAQ is not compilated in this list of number of catalogued because the request use (P528) and not (P217) : Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Top collections by number of catalogued paintings.
But I saw the collection of the MNBAQ in this list with (P217) Wikidata:WikiProject_sum_of_all_paintings/Top_collections
Yeah, Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Top collections by number of catalogued paintings might be a bit confusing. inventory number (P217) coverage is quite good, see Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Location/Canada/Missing inventory number for the ones without it. The coverage is so high, I don't even include it in Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Property statistics. Multichill (talk) 22:00, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
{{Ping|Multichill}} Again, thank you for your assistance. The tools you develop are very useful and accurate. I learn a lot since I discover Sum of all paintings. My motivation is high to work on this project.--Natharchives (talk) 22:11, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Multichill: Hi Multichill, I will complete the 2 missing wikidata elements for the MNBAQ painting project authorities of Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Collection/Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec. Two particular cases: It is about a painter of which I have no info except his name: Priscille and a collective painting carried out by pupils of a secondary school. Huge thanks for your help throughout this project.--Natharchives (talk) 12:09, 9 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Martin Bureau[edit]

--Natharchives (talk) 14:46, 2 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Là ça a marché!
:) --Fralambert (talk) 15:15, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! As you might know I recently added all artists in the collection of National Museum of World Cultures (Q17153751) to Wikidata. You can find the list of Canadian artists here: Wikidata:CopyClear/Museum van Wereldculturen/Canadian creators. Would be great if in the longer term, the biographical information of those artists wll expand and interlinked with other collections. Curious about you ideas --Hannolans (talk) 11:23, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hannolans, Thank you for this considerable work. I crossed data from your museum a few times. I started adding the MNBAQ collection for these artists with the property: P6379 / Q233813. Do you think it would be possible to add a column at the end of your table with this property. So I could view those already completed.--Natharchives (talk) 14:12, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Cool! I have added that column, but also two lists. --Hannolans (talk) 16:08, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I see links like https://collections.mnbaq.org/fr/artiste/600011623 Is 600011623 not a property in WIkidata? --Hannolans (talk) 16:11, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Magic as your Wikidata queries. It will help me a lot. I am junior in my Wikidata learning. I will be happy to complement your artists! I hope you understand my beginner English.--Natharchives (talk) 16:12, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hannolans: Hi Hannolans, I think it's the same artist ? : https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q84495515 and https://www.wikidata.org/wiki/Q55218141 ? --Natharchives (talk) 20:04, 12 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Hannolans: and Natharchives. Good idea for the property, I proposed Wikidata:Property proposal/MNBAQ artist ID. --Fralambert (talk) 15:59, 6 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

P9091[edit]

Enfin, il y a MNBAQ ID (P9091)! --Fralambert (talk) 22:46, 26 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

de 1854 à 1865, par le fondateur Jules-Isaïe Benoît dit Livernois (1830-1865);
de 1866 à 1873, par Élise L’Heureux, veuve de Jules-Isaïe, et son gendre, Louis Fontaine dit Bienvenu;
de 1874 à 1898, par Jules-Ernest Livernois (1851-1933), fils de Jules-Isaïe et Élise;
source: https://catherineferlandhistorienne.com/2019/03/08/elise-lheureux-photographe-quebec-19e-siecle/

AleatoryPonderings (talk) 13:23, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That will be great if you are doing that! (sorry my english is beginning)! Natharchives (talk) 13:26, 24 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
