Other accounts[edit]

Good day. I was wondering if any of these accounts are also operated by you:

Hi! These aren't operated by me. I only have this account :D Thank you! Nabiresearcher (talk) 08:20, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Nabiresearcher I'm just curious because you created Q122730553 and the following day DataExplorer923 (talkcontribslogs) uploaded File:MASV logo.png, then 10 minutes later you added that image to the Wikidata item. If that's not also your account, is DataExplorer923 you know or work with? -- William Graham (talk) 05:44, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi William, yes! He's my friend who is a bigger Wikidata expert than I can ever be, so I asked him for help because I want to learn how to use Wikidata more effectively. I add random companies and people I come across and ask my friend to teach me how to enrich the articles. Nabiresearcher (talk) 14:10, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are any of the other listed accounts people you know? And do you, DataExplorer923, or any other of them have a close relationship or business relationship to the items you are creating? If so I direct you to Wikidata:Conflict of interest. --William Graham (talk) 16:25, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi William,
I know them, yes :D But as far as having a close/business relationship with the articles we update/create, we don't have one. It would be a dream come true to have one as I edit articles for actors/actresses too! lol.
Our interest lies in learning more about structured data and knowledge panels. Thus, we are helping Wikidata in return by updating the articles and creating articles that are factual and it's a wonderful bonus...? I think :D We aren't interested in making these articles look "good" per se, we just want to learn structured data :D
I understand that it looks like there is a COI because we're targeting brands/people we come across online. For example, I updated Serenata Flowers because I saw an ad on Facebook, and since I've a Wikidata account, I thought it would be nice to update their Wikidata too :D That might help their Knowledge Panel too!
I apologise for this and will pass it on to the group. We'll go back to the way we were before: just click on the random item and update everything we can. But please let me know if we're violating any rules with this approach.
I hope this makes sense.
Thanks very much! Nabiresearcher (talk) 08:48, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
