Something about Q16680559[edit]

FWIW, when you added ca:Vista del Niàgara (Frederic Edwin Church) to this item, you marked two bages not proofread (Q20748091) and validated (Q20748093) which point to Wikisources, I wonder why, is this meaning that Catalan Wikipedia also do works of Wikisources? --Liuxinyu970226 (talk) 23:47, 2 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Zurbaran items[edit]

Thanks for your contributions here and to es.wiki relating to Francisco de Zurbaran! FYI, I have made changes to a number of your items. Where the es.wiki article concerns more than one painting, I have changed them from instance of (P31)=painting (Q3305213) to instance of (P31)=group (Q16887380) of (P642) painting (Q3305213). I also added has part(s) (P527)=the item for the specific painting(s) contained in the group. (Sometimes, items don't yet exist for every painting in each group, particularly where they are attributed to his workshop rather than Zurbaran himself.) I have been working to create items for all Zurbaran paintings listed in Delenda's catalogo razonado. The ones that exist so far can be found here: Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Catalog/Francisco de Zurbarán, 1598-1664. The ones that do not yet have items have pictures located here: User:Calliopejen1/Zurbaran project/Zurbaran pics. Hopefully this helps you as you're creating more items! This is attributed to Zurbaran in a database online that does not look terribly reliable for this purpose. I don't see it attributed to Zurbaran in any reliable sources. Do you know if this is a Zurbaran work? Thanks! Calliopejen1 (talk) 20:29, 21 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hallo, Callopejeen:
I do not believe that this painting is a work of Zurbarán. It does not appear in the Catalogue Raisonné of Odile Delenda, which is the most reliable existing of Zurbaran's works, not even as a work of his workshop or of dubious authorship.
The Führer's Museum – where this painting presumably stood – did not come into existence. Perhaps this painting -in those times- was considered a work of Zurbarán, and was destined for that museum. Nowadays – whether or not it was a Zurbaran´s work– this painting perhaps is missing or untraceable.
Best regards:

Thanks. That was all my thinking as well. I've changed the Zurbaran value to deprecated and indicated that it is disputed by Delenda. Calliopejen1 (talk) 05:10, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Any thoughts about this one? I'm also skeptical that it is Zurbaran. I don't see it anywhere in Delenda, or in other sources (though it is hard to search for... I did "cesta", "pan", etc.). The monastery where the painting is said to be located does have other works by Zurbaran but they don't have any photo of this painting on their website... Calliopejen1 (talk) 05:13, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Calliopejen1:
This painting does not appear in the catalogue raisonné of O. Delenda, neither as an authentic canvas nor as a doubtful one, nor as a work of his workshop. Nor does it appear as a work of Juan de Zurbarán (the son of Francisco de Zurbarán). Perhaps it appears in María Luisa Caturla's catalogue raisonné, but I do not have this catalogue.
Someday I would like to visit the Monastery of Guadalupe, but it is far from Barcelona, and the media is not very good. Jvallmitja (talk) 14:49, 24 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

All paintings listed in Delenda have items[edit]

I have finished making items for all Zurbaran paintings listed in volume 1 of Delenda -- see Wikidata:WikiProject sum of all paintings/Catalog/Francisco de Zurbarán, 1598-1664. Hope this helps as you are linking new es.wiki articles to existing items! Calliopejen1 (talk) 20:36, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I see that you recently made another Zurbaran item for a painting in Delenda -- you don't need to, because they all exist already! They are all here for easy reference (you can sort by catalog number). Calliopejen1 (talk) 00:23, 20 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hallo, Calliopejen1: Please, forgive my bad English.
I don't know how to add an existing Item to a new article. I've tried but I can never succeed.
Suppose the following:
  • I write a new article about a work by Zurbarán (or whoever) and publish it.
  • Then I add Plantilla:Ficha de obra de arte - Wikipedia, la enciclopedia libre with its image, dimensions, location
  • Now Wikipedia asks me to link that template with an existing Item.
  • Well, I don't know how to do it, and the only solution I've found is to make a new Item in Catalan or in Spanish and to link that new item
Please help me, because this is really a trouble for me.
Thank you: jvallmitjaJvallmitja (talk) 18:40, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No problem! Once you create a new article on Wikipedia, find the Wikidata item that the article applies to, then (on Wikidata) click "edit" in the upper right corner where it says "Wikipedia (# entries)". Type "es" and then add the article title. Then when you add {{Ficha de obra de arte}} on es.wikipedia.org, I think the template will automatically populate from the Wikidata item that is linked to the Wikipedia page. (It is possible that there is a short delay.) Have you tried this? Calliopejen1 (talk) 19:40, 24 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't removed sourced inception[edit]

Hi Jvallmitja, I noticed on several paintings you removed the inception sourced to the Prado. Please don't do that. Thank you, Multichill (talk) 22:47, 22 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

OK, Multichill. Forgive me, please.
