Wikidataa opettelemaan![edit]

Hei! Olisitko kiinnostunut osallistumaan Wikimedia Suomen järjestämään Wikidataan perehdyttävään projektiin. Pyydämme osallistujiksi wikipedistejä sekä organisaatioita, joiden kanssa opettelemme yhdessä, heidän aineistoillaan. Järjestämme lokakuun alussa Helsingissä työpajapäivän, jossa esitellään Wikidataa sekä suomeksi että englanniksi. Puhujat ja paikka varmistuvat vähitellen, päivämäärä on 2.10.2015. Valmistelemme myös online-opiskelupakettia suomeksi. Olisi hienoa saada mukaan Wikidataa aktiivisesti muokkaavia tilaisuuteen tai opastamaan/oppimaan online. Projektin työn alla olevat sivut ovat täällä: fi:Wikipedia:Wikiprojekti Avoin kulttuuridata hyötykäyttöön. Voit myös lähettää minulle sähköpostia käyttäjäsivuni kautta.

Roman Republic calendar[edit]

I have reverted your edit to Augustus because the calendar in use when Augustus was born was the Roman Republic calendar. The only supported calendars for WikiData are the (proleptic) Julian calendar and the (proleptic) Gregorian calendar.

Usually, dates in the Roman Republic calendar cannot be accurately converted to any other calendar. The Romans at that time used leap months, rather than leap years, and the insertion of the leap month was a matter of politics, used to extend the reign of a popular ruler or shorten the reign of an unpopular ruler. The surviving records in most cases are not sufficient to determine exactly when leap months were inserted. Jc3s5h (talk) 16:08, 22 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hei Geohakkeri! Olen kääntänyt Wikidatan ohjesivuja ym. suomeksi, ja kysyisin sinulta apua yhteen kohtaan. Sinulla on täällä palauttajan oikeudet, ja haluaisin tietää mitä palautus-linkissä lukee suomeksi. Suomenkielisessä Wikipediassa se on [palauta], mutta täällä on toinen toiminto, restore, joka on käännetty suomeksi palauta. Ja jos painaa sitä "palauta" eli restore, niin siellä on otsikkotekstinä "Sivun ”Q12345” vanhan version palauttaminen". Onhan se kieltämättä hämäävää, että kaikki on vain palauta. Restoren voisi kai kääntää "palauta tämä". Suomen kielen sanat loppuvat kesken. Stryn (talk) 13:17, 11 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

"Palauta tämä versio" tai "Palauta tähän versioon" voisi olla selkein mutta aika pitkä versio. "Palauta tämä" ainakin erottaisi sen fiwikin palautus-työkalun linkistä, johon palauttajat/ylläpitäjät ovat siellä tottuneet. -kyykaarme (talk) 10:59, 21 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
