Undo revision[edit]
Dear Egermundson, I saw your undo of my revision at Q2297290 stating "Dates don't belong in label. Also, Siegen?" If dates don't belong in a label how is one supposed to differ between people with the same name? After all she wasn't the only Maria in her family. Second, yes Nassau-Siegen is a better way to name her family than Nassau-Dillenburg. But that's a discussion between historicians that probably will never end, so I don't mind you changing that. Nationality in descriptions[edit]

Former names[edit]
Re: [1] and [2]: I see that you removed the former names of Corvallis (Q748474) (Marysville) and Coos Bay (Q913266) (Marshfield) from the alias field of those items. I'm glad you are enthusiastic to contribute to Wikidata, but I'm not sure that simply eliminating data when it's in a location where you would not have put it is an improvement to the project. Metropolitan municipality in Turkey[edit]
Hi! About this revert, you can read here that metropolitan municipalities have substituted provinces in 30 cases. So, as of now, we have two type of first level country subdivisions: provinces (51) and metropolitan municipalities (30). --BohemianRhapsody (talk) 07:38, 1 April 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you for the info! That makes a lot of sense. But shouldn't metropolitan municipality in Turkey (Q2716259) then have a subclass of (P279) link to province of Turkey (Q48336)? Blank node deprecation in WDQS & Wikibase RDF model[edit]
If you're still running a WDQS updater, then this change may affect you. Hopefully not.
I don't think it will have a significant effect on typical SPARQL queries.
