Advice for merging items

I advice you to enable the Merge.js gadget, it has a checkbox called "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" so you can automatically nominate the duplicated one (maybe more) to be deleted. Redirect.

I see that you merge a lot a item. Why you don't create redirect with Merge.js gadget? Now there are a lot of empty item. that is necessary to fix. --ValterVB (talk) 18:40, 27 November 2014 (UTC)

Probably you have forgot to select "Create a redirect". I can't show you examples because @Epìdosis: deleted them. --ValterVB (talk) 19:43, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

This is a redirect; you have to select "Always merge into the item with lowest Qid" and "Create a redirect" in merge.js gadget. --Epìdosis 20:39, 3 December 2014 (UTC)

@ValterVB: @Epìdosis: The language link for Hameh Sin was added by clicking the "Add links" link on the English WP page. If the script that runs doesn't do redirects, someone ought to fix it, because most people will have no idea that doing what they're told to do doesn't do all that's maybe needed.
