Merging items[edit]

Hallo Ælfgar,

For merging items, you may want to use the merge.js gadget from help page about merging. It has an option "Request deletion for extra items on RfD" to automatically place a request to delete the emptied page. This way of nominating makes it a lot easier for the admins to process the requests.

Lac Bala/Llyn Tegid[edit]

Hi, noticed your change here, note a accused Welsh nationalist that was partly banned at en.wiki, renamed a bunch of Wales-related pages to their Welsh names a while ago on both Wikdata and various other language Wikipedias, including deleting the English name entirely. Is the move to "Llyn Tegid" from "lac Bala" on fr.wiki justified? Your edit here suggests it is so just checking and raising the issue. Is "Llyn Tegid" used in French? Or Fr.wiki policy prefers official names when in dispute? Just checking, even though I personally prefer "Llyn Tegid", en.wiki has a stricter approach to the issue. Just wondered if "lac Bala" has fully been replaced or these were POV edits by another. Thanks

Also I've been generating community maps on all communities in Wales, although from 2010 files, seems some since had boundary changes, so would try and make new ones with the newer boundaries. (Those outdated, have "2010" in their descriptions/categories) Many have the same boundaries since 2010 such as Wrexham and Denbighshire AFIAA. Diolch, Merci, Thanks. Just a note, sorry, but I need to update Pembrokeshire, as mentioned at commons. Although happy to manually change them myself (when uploaded) if you have wish to continue with Pembrokeshire. Apologies, as I did not notice they were altered a few years ago. The old files would be renamed with "2010" at the beginning, so if bot-renamed, that's when I would've uploaded the new ones. Merci.
