Hallo MisterSynergy, im März war der Stand: "There are ~88.800 items linked to a VIAF cluster containing a GND that have not yet been imported." Vermutlich sind es seitdem nicht weniger Fälle geworden. Zwar zu viele, um alle von Hand abzuarbeiten, aber ein paar würde ich gerne überprüfen, alleine schon, um zu sehen, ob sich die Qualität der VIAF-Cluster verbessert hat. Kannst du unter Property talk:P227/human/wanted/import/from VIAF 500 offene Fälle reinkopieren? (Falls eine Auswahl möglich ist, würden mich vor allem jede Datenobjekte interessieren, bei denen bislang nur eine nicht-individualisierte GND eingetragen ist.) Und ein zweite Bitte: Kannst du die Liste Property talk:P227/incorrect identifier value aktualisieren? Danke im Voraus.

Hallo Kolja21, ich habe zurzeit nur wenig Zeit, nehme mir das hier aber mit Prio für die nächsten Tage vor. Den Report Property talk:P227/incorrect identifier value wollte ich eigentlich vor ein paar Tagen schon aktualisiert haben, das hat aber aus irgendeinem noch zu untersuchenden Grund nicht geklappt. Die andere Anfrage *sollte* nicht so schwierig sein, aber wir werden sehen :-)

Property talk:P227/human/wanted/import/from VIAF hat Beispielfälle erhalten. Insgesamt hat sich die Zahl der Fälle kaum verändert (jetzt 89.055).

Die Liste ist großartig! Die ersten 20 Fälle habe ich überprüft und gestrichen; alle GNDs passten. @MisterSynergy: Bei Gelegenheit kannst du gerne alle 600 Treffer reinkopieren. @Silewe: Falls du Lust & Zeit hast, sicherlich auch für dich interessant.

Die Liste ist bereits vollständig abgearbeitet. Ein großen Dank an User:Epìdosis! @MisterSynergy: Ich würde mich freuen, wenn du die Liste bei Gelegenheit mit den Fällen "Todesjahr bis einschließlich 1850" auffüllst. Alle paar Monate eine Wasserstandsmeldung, wie viele Datenobjekte noch betroffen sind, wäre hilfreich, auch wenn wir sie nicht alle abarbeiten können. Auf jeden Fall auch einen großen Dank an dich!

Of course I have not emptied it alone, but also thanks to @Kolja21: and @Silewe: who have done a significant amount of work as always! If there are new lists, ping me and I will try to help you a bit :)

This list has been worked down quickly, I'm actually pretty impressed!

Remarks regarding future evaluations:

• I will have a look whether "died until 1850" is a feasible criterion for another worklist.
• Full automation is not that simple. This job requires evaluation of VIAF and GND dumps, thus a new evaluation does only really generates new cases after new dumps have been released. VIAF publishes roughly monthly, GND every four to six months to my experience. After dump download, there are subsequent scripts running on my local machine for a couple of hours per dump that extract relevant information, and then I am able to run the actual script which merges everything together (including current data from Wikidata).
• Since everything is pretty much in good shape, I can update these evaluations/worklists on request—at least for evaluations that have been made in the past. Everything that is new needs some more attention :-)

The criterion "died until 1850" is not preeminent. (I was thinking about the reports to the BSB if we find errors.) There are certainly other good restrictions, depending on the interests of those working with the list. Italy for example, regarding the work of Epìdosis.

Of course, Italy would be great for me (you can also add Greece - and Cyprus - since as a hellenist I am also interested to that area).
