Hi Magnus, could you reload AAT in mix-n-match? This is a pivot thesaurus in cultural heritage, and it's important to coreference as much as possible. Eg American Art Collaborative (14 US museums) are coreferencing their local classifications to AAT.

  • https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/#/catalog/48 shows 28k unmatched. But eg Industrial Housing (Q19113236) is a straight match that wasn't present in "auto-matched" (I added it manually)
  • Could you strip "<" and ">" when loading the description (gvp:parentStringAbbrev)? These are used to surround "guide terms" and because these chars are not escaped by MnM, they break the display
  • Could you filter out guide terms eg <housing by ownership> https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/#/entry/1812213? These are never appropriate for matching, and their label shows empty (for the reason above), which is very confusing. You can filter those either by rdf:type gvp:GuideTerm, or the presence of <...> in the label (not description)

Done. Also ran automatching again.

https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/#/list/48/auto shows many auto-matched as "No WD" I checked several and they are all "guide terms" so that is excellent!

You've also replaced <..> with [..] in their parent string eg "[textile materials by process or technique], textile materials, fiber products, [fiber and fiber products], [materials by physical form], [materials by form], materials (matter), Materials (Hierarchy Name), Materials Facet" so that displays ok, great!

But there is still one omission: you have replaced the lowest-level guide term with "", so the auto-match list above shows no names. And one of these entries eg https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/#/entry/1801935 still shows <...>.

Cheers!
