Chemists are not naturalists[edit]

I think in German it might make sense to file Chemiker under 'Naturwissenschaftler', but in English it is definitely a mistake to file chemists under 'naturalists'. It looks like the German term is really closer to 'natural scientists' or just 'scientists', although it can sometimes be used for naturalists in particular?

In English, a naturalist is 'An expert in natural history or the study of plants and animals' as Wiktionary puts it. 94.197.152.10 16:43, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I've removed the subclass for now. If others want to make the case that it is relevant in German, then I think we need a separate "naturalist" concept that broadly matches the German concept of "Naturwissenschaftler" (which includes physicists and chemists), not the more narrow English "naturalist".—Eloquence (talk)
