The names Leguminosae and Papilionaceae can both be used instead of Fabaceae, each on an equal basis to Fabaceae. However, Fabaceae has two main definitions ("circumscriptions") and Leguminosae and Papilionaceae are very different from each other, and are by no means interchangeable with each other (or, in other words, Fabaceae may not be used interchangeably with Fabaceae). - Brya (talk) 05:11, 8 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
