Translation problem[edit]

The French article here identité politique is about political identity in general (do you identify as as left or right, moderate or radical, etc.) it is NOT about the same topic as the English meaning of "identity politics" which means a tendency since the 1970s to base one's political stances or factors like race, sex, gender, and so on as opposed to traditional factors like religion and social class. I would guess there are also more problems with other translations if one cared to look. Kevlar67 (talk) 22:33, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The same is true with the Spanish page, Identidad política, which is different from políticas de identidad. The pages 'identdiad política' and identity politics do nor refer to the same thing and they should be unlinked.
