Hindu calendar date[edit]

Defining the Hindu calendar date of this festival as a "day in year for periodic occurrence". To this property are added two values - one each to represent the paksha and tithi. Each value is appropriately qualified to identify which one of the two it represents.

Furthermore, since this festival falls in Krishna paksha, the name of the masa depends on the tradition that people choose to follow - amaanta / purnimaanta. To handle this, two values for masa are added each having an additional qualifier - "determination method"
