Identity and first publications[edit]
ISFDB [1] notesː "It's unclear whether the Again, Dangerous Visions novella was expanded for the book publication: Wikipedia claims it was, but SF Encyclopedia doesn't mention it."
(Relying on ISFDB throughout) The novella was first published March 1972 83pp in Again, Dangerous Visions, a book edited by Harlan Ellison. The first English-language book was published in March 1976 189pp. Dutch- and German-language books were published during 1975, both of which ISFDB catalogues as translations of the 1972. Het Woord voor Wereld Is Woud, 1975 117pp; Das Wort für Welt ist Wald, November 1975 124pp.
